You have arrived at the gateway to England, where for hundreds of years people have arrived, some for the first time, others returning home with hopes, dreams, expectations and maybe the odd question. The White Cliffs of Dover and the mighty castle have looked out over generations of travellers and worshippers who have lived in or passed through this part of Kent. This website provides a doorway to both the Dover Deanery but also the Diocese of Canterbury, the wider Church of England and other Christians, through its links.
As a deanery we represent a wide variety of Anglican tradition and liturgical style from Anglo-Catholic though Liberal-Catholic/Traditional to Evangelical but with a large degree of fluidity as we seek to serve the Lord Jesus Christ, the Saviour of the world together in this corner of the Garden of England. You will find us singing, praying, reading the Bible and sharing the Sacraments and are invited to join us on our journey of faith. We proclaim a God who loves the world which includes all of us from every nation and race.
“For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him." John 3:16-17 NLT
